This residential building is situated on a site with a narrow width and extended length, presenting a unique design challenge in terms of spatial arrangement and functionality. The primary objective was to efficiently allocate parking spaces and residential units within the limited site dimensions. To address these challenges, the design incorporates a strategic layout across five floors. The ground and top floors are designed as single residential units that fit within the site boundaries, providing a more intimate living experience. The three middle floors, however, utilize a cantilevered design, projecting outward beyond the site limits, to create two units per floor. This cantilevered configuration not only optimizes space but also enhances the visual dynamic of the building’s facade. By combining single and double-unit floors with thoughtful cantilever extensions, the design achieves a balance between functionality, aesthetic appeal, and the efficient use of space, making it a unique solution to the constraints of a narrow and elongated site.
